(10 April 1999, New York) Terrence Adams accidentally hanged himself on Saturday when his sweater tangled around his neck as he tried to break into a clothing boutique.

The 55-year-old Brooklyn burglar was attempting to enter the shop from the roof by bending back bars on the window. When he jumped into the store, his sweater caught on the twisted metal and strangled him.

He was found dead at the scene on Saturday morning.

In honor of his misadventure, residents of the Flatbush neighborhood have suggested that the Dum Dum Boutique be renamed the Dumb Dumb Boutique.
