My Brother Drives That Way
In Mississippi, Jim-Bob offers to drive a CNN reporter to the scene of a breaking story.
They are flying down the road. The light turns yellow, then flips red, but Jim-Bob runs right through it. The reporter says, "That was close." Jim-Bob says, "That's the way my brother drives." Another 200 yards down the street, the light is red, and cars are waiting. Jim-Bob swerves into the oncoming lane and blows through the red light. The reporter, with alarm in his voice, asks, "Why did you do that?" Jim-Bob responds, "That's the way my brother drives." After four more blocks, they approach the scene of the story, and there's an intersection where they have a green light. Jim-Bob slams on the brakes and stops. The reporter says, "What are you doing? We have a green light this time!" Jim-Bob responds, "Yeah—but my brother might be coming the other way!"
