The Talk Potion

A Jewish scientist wanted to become rich and famous...

After years of research, he finally created his great invention—a potion that would make cats talk. He started traveling all around the country, showing off his invention, but to his astonishment, people were not interested. He thought about it for a while and decided that perhaps cats were not popular enough, or cat owners did not want to know what their pets were saying. So he worked for several more years and modified the potion so that it would make dogs talk. He again went for a tour around the country with his invention, but again, people were not interested. Desperate, he went to his rabbi seeking counsel. He told him his story and asked: "Rabbi, I have worked hard perfecting my potion, but people are just not interested. Is there anything I can do to improve my fate?" The Rabbi thought for a while and answered: "Can you modify your potion so that it makes women not talk?"
