Animal Impersonators

Three soldiers—one Irish, one British, and one American—escaped from a prisoner of war camp in Germany and hid in separate trees to avoid the guards.

The guards surrounded the American's tree and shouted, "Come down!" The American shouted, "Hoot! Hoot!" The guards said, "It's just an owl," and moved on. They moved to the British soldier's tree. He yelled, "Caw! Caw!" The guards said, "It's just a crow," and moved on. Finally, they reached the Irishman's tree and shouted, "Come down!" The Irishman yelled, "Moo! Moo!"
