A Poem About Love
But why, but why, but why
There is so much longing in the heart
Even though we are continents apart
She finds a place in my every thought?
Life without her has no thrills
Her absence makes me lose all my will
Other women appear as attractive as chill
At first I thought this was a crush
Which will get lost in life's rush.
Get smoothened by a newer lust.
But now it is years since it happened
My love for her has only deepened;
Is there love for me in her heart?
I am a little afraid to ask
Even she has always stayed in touch
Saying nothing but showing much,
Even when there was no need for such
She has tolerated me without any fuss.
We are in love or I am missing much!
This must be love; it can't be lust
This must be love; it can't be lust
