Many Hands Make Light Work

A Chinese scholar was giving a lecture when all the lights in the auditorium went out. He asked members of the audience if they would please raise their hands. As soon as they had all complied, the auditorium lights came on again. The speaker bowed and announced, "Prove wisdom of old Chinese saying: 'Many hands make light work'."
